Drop-in Center

CLUB WELLLIFE DROP-IN CENTER

Club WellLife is a local community center that offers people who have mental illness hope and opportunities to achieve their full potential. Our Drop-In Center, located in Suffolk County, offers social and emotional supports through motivation, recreation and shared experiences. Most importantly, it is a community of people who are working together to achieve a common goal.

Through sustained participation in a Clubhouse environment, members gain access to opportunities to rejoin the worlds of family, friendships, employment and education. Club WellLife provides a restorative environment for people whose lives have been disrupted because of their mental illness and who need the support of others who are in recovery and who believe that mental illness is treatable.

Club WellLife is open Monday, Tuesday and Friday late afternoon and evening.

Making A Difference
Club WellLife Helps Members Heal & Recover
<p>Our Coram facility houses a bountiful garden tended to by participants of our PROS program. This outdoor garden is filled with vegetables and flowers and provides our PROS gardeners with an outdoor therapeutic oasis.

Nature has long been known for its relaxing qualities, as a place for humans to find tranquility and healing. Gardening has long been associated with positive mental health and feelings of reward, and it has many physical benefits as well.

According to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), moderate-intensity level activity for 2.5 hours each week can reduce the risk for obesity, high blood pressure, heart disease, stroke, depression and more. Food gardening can particularly be gratifying and an excellent source of fresh produce. From soil preparation to the joy of harvesting, our PROS gardeners sow, fertilize, weed and harvest their crops! They also use the produce as side dishes in their lunch menu.

Gardening is an added benefit and program adjunct to our overall PROS program goal of assisting participants with severe and persistent mental illness to actively engage in the process of their recovery program.

Give, so others can live well.
