Day Habilitation

How do you want to grow? That’s exactly how we’re ready to help you. Day Habilitation programs are offered to individuals who live in residential settings as well as by themselves or with family. These programs include purposeful and meaningful activities and are designed to foster living skills, appropriate behavior, greater independence and personal choice.

Residential

We provide living that is personal, caring, and supportive, offering a variety of living options and support programs designed to assist individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The involvement of families and caregivers, through information sharing, goal setting, and ongoing communication, is a vital part of our Residential Program helping individuals meet life goals.

Success Stories

  • Project Me at WellLife Network asks residents,”What would you do with $250 to make your bedroom more beautiful?” The program teaches residents like James, who has autism, skills including budgeting, counting money and interacting with local merchants. When asked why he chose to decorate his room with Spiderman posters, James responded “Spiderman— it’s me,” grinning from ear to ear.

  • Sometimes taking care of an individual’s physical and emotional needs must go beyond the ordinary. Charles, a resident of WellLife Network’s residents for individuals with intellectual/developmental disabilities, doesn’t miss a New York Islanders game on TV. This led to the obvious conclusion by the staff – Charles must go see a game live in person. And that’s what Charles did, front row seat, all you can eat, with his house manager. As Charles says, “This was the best game ever, I was there! And the Islanders won!”
