Project Volunteer: A day with Paramount

By: Deborah Cruz

What started as a rainy day in queens ended up being our brightest one yet, on June 17th WellLife Network partnered with Paramount Co. volunteers to create a mural at our Astoria DayHab location in Queens.

“Project Volunteer” is a springtime initiative spearheaded by CEO, Sherry Tucker, focused on beautifying WellLife outdoor program space and residential facilities by bringing in volunteers from around the company to plant flowers and vegetable gardens in addition to building outdoor furniture for our individuals and staff to enjoy these new and improved green spaces.

Paramount Co., one of the world's leading producers of premium entertainment content, joined us for their Volunteer Day sending 22 volunteers to our Astoria location and 8 to our Lennox location. Volunteers and staff used 40 gallons of paint to cover 122 feet of outdoor wall space for the first phase of the mural. WellLife is grateful to have partners such as Paramount Co. to assist with making these ambitious projects a reality.
