Overview:
Resilience is an essential and necessary part of emotional and physical health. Many of us are wrestling with the lack of inner peace and strategies for coping. Resilience can be cultivated and strengthened—the ability to “bounce back”. Developing resilience in difficult times helps to insulate us against the more damaging consequences of constant stress. The need for resilience training has never been greater with all that we are facing personally, nationally, and globally.
Objectives:
In this community-based training webinar together, we will:
- Discuss factors that contribute to stress resilience and how our current cultural climate is affecting us
- Examine how early development in becoming more resilient can influence and affect coping skills later in life Learn about “resilience training models” and ways that positive psychology contributes toward primary prevention
- Identify specific steps and tools for effectively building and strengthening the resilience factor in each of us
