Childhood Sexual Abuse (CSA) is widespread “1 in 7 girls and 1 in 25 boys is sexually traumatized by the age of 18”. This training is designed to assist all Mental Health professionals with the basic understanding of this traumatic experience and to learn the basic skills in assessment and treatment of CSA.This seminar is especially geared toward social workers, mental health counselors and marriage and family therapists.One of the goals of treatment is to help individuals transition from the state of feeling as a victim to one of becoming a survivor. The training will involve the demonstration of concepts in the context of case discussions.
